Bon Jovi!!
So, I guess have a become a true Jersey girl. I went to a Bon Jovi concert this past weekend. Three of my good friends from college (Tammy, Laura, and Shannon) came into town for a visit and the Bon Jovi concert. I have to say it was one of the best shows I have seen. He played for 2 and a half hours, and he played almost all of the old songs that we were all singing to at the top of our lungs. He mixed in a few of the new songs from his latest album, Have a Nice Day, and also some of the old ballads. Wow, he looks good for a 43 year old!!!!! And as Tammy said, "He definitely has stamina." He was sporting some very sexy brown leather pants that showed off the muscles in his legs. The best part was when he was wearing a shorter shirt and every time he raised his arms, we were able to see the infamous "v." Oh my gosh, every woman in there HAD to be swooning at that point!!!!!
We did see several true Jersey girls there, with the mullets and feathered bangs that take up half their head with tight pegged jeans. I am not kidding, I think some of those people have never left the 80s.
After the show, we headed to Chickie and Pete's, a local sports bar that is known for their crab fries. (Not so sure what makes them crab fries, they just taste like fries with spices on them, but they are pretty damn good.) We were hoping that Bon Jovi would make an appearance, as he told Oprah that it was his favorite place in Philadelphia. But, no such luck. But they did play a Bon Jovi song about every third song; however, it just wasn't the same as being able to look at him while he was singing.
All in all, it was a fabulous weekend! It was great to catch up with the girls and of course to see JON BON!!!

I saw Motley Crue play the Fargo Civic Center in 1998, and it was the same experience--mullets, ripped shirts, flashing boobies. Some people really have never left the 80's.

Jed- THANK YOU for finally blogging again. Dana has been bugging me every other day to email you and tell you to get your butt in gear (and do more entries), but finally you did it on your own. Phew!
Was thinking of you last night while watching the Eagles get walked all over by the Seahawks - have you become an Eagles fan, or are the Titans and Maize and Blue all you can handle?

I know, I know...I will try to get better! I am an Eagles fan, but I will always be a Titans fan (even though they are horrible this year....), and of course the Maize and Blue!
It's amazing to see so many of those stuck in the 80s people all in one place!!
